[TechAssist] Re: Philips chassis PTV705 model FP5220 convergence "Fixed"

Thought I would post my "fix" for this.  Found problem to be a corrupted
eeprom as Dave mentioned.  Since my customer wasn't going to go for a new
convergence panel, my solution was to first, zero out the convergence eeprom
(via an external eeprom writer),  then re-due the convergence from scratch,
(which then worked).  I then came up with the idea to pull pin 7 of the
eeprom hi, which prohibits writing to it.  So far that seems to work.  Note
that the customer can still do static convergence, as that isn't stored in
the convergence eeprom.  I'm not saying this is a correct repair, but it got
me out of a jam on a set that wouldn't have been repaired otherwise.  Thanks
