Paul,
From Tech Repair CD:

Magnavox\27PS55S321 27T800\Shutdown (into protect) with no symptom
shown\Adjustment of Sg2 (master screen
on LOT) may resolve but symptom may return\\27T800 \The LOT (flyback) 5445.
Several returned samples have
been discovered with unstable/intermittent Sg2 controls.\Monitoring the Sg2
voltage may provide proof of
this as the cause of protection\\\\\\\

Hv comes up wave form looks normal at collector of HOP xstr. Plays for about 5
seconds and shuts down.
Have pulled the pic tube socket. The B+ is 127v at the HOP xstr. The scvreen
voltage is only 6v. Bad IHVT?
Screen voltage winding shorted ? It is not burning. Maybe isn't on long enough
to burn? Paul
