Yes do that.There is a bunch of digital audio switching done B4 the audio 
amp,so eliminate stuff,Later,

The picture and other functions work great, just no audio at all. When you
power on or off, you get a slight pop noise only.
I'm still checking circuits out, but found nothing obvious yet.
