That 12v to pin 1 is used to run the vert oscillator, I've seen a 0.2 volt
change cause vert jittering, varying that voltage can cause shrinkage and
possibly collapse, verify it is EXACTLY what it's supposed to be.
Also , check trace continuity, especially on pins 3 , 4, and 5 as these
components are for the vert ramp generator.
