I had one Panasonic 20" that had no sync and the solution turned out to
be a faulty P/S regulator, an STR30130 or similar, that was not
regulating. Instead of going into shutdown, this set would just show a
scrambled picture. HTH

Thanks Dan. I put a sync pulse in where it was supposed to go on pin 5
of IC
301 AN5301NK and the picture still didn't straighten out. All B+
voltages
are ok, and the holdown Voltage is right, at least on the print I am
using.
I subbed in the IF and same thing so I guess the IC is bad. Will post
Fix.
