It will not record a video signal, the ic3001 is part of the video processing
circuit. The majority of the luminance is processed in this 40 pin IC. The
mechanics are fine as indicated in the post that the play back is normal. What
is seen on the screen when playing back after record, is like no signal was
applied. Paul
