Ah yes, the glue problem.
Off pin 20 of U19501 to ground are two sm caps.
C19503 and C19581.
The glue underneith them had become conductive
causing the 4.8vdc SDAS voltage to be missing.
That was a tough weeks work, and I haven't seen it
again.
There is a bulletin TV 02-002 dealing with the
convergence power supply board.
They reccommend replacing the whole board on the
195'5
On the 102's and 307's and 211's the board must be
repaired at component level.
ALWAYS replace CR19710 and CR19713.
I think you are getting into deep %^&* trying to
fix this set quickly, and/or in the home.
If the customer is that persnicity, you might
explain why the should not by rca's and pass on the
job. Whenever a customer tries to jerk me around,
they end up with an unrepaired set, and another
shop's phone number.
Life's too short.
