If you have the latest MS updates, you are prompted if you wish to open, save to
disk or cancel.
If you do not have the latest updates, this virus will automatically run when 
you
preview it if you do not have anti-virus to protect you.
This is why in addition to anti-virus software, you also need the critical 
updates
from MS update page.
