[TechAssist] Older RCA VCR PSVR60

Model PSVR60
Have a VCR here that came in with no sound.
Found a module that looks very similar to the Sony SBX1637-11, which I
replaced. Brought the low volume back from tuner.
But when tape is played, the audio sounds a little raspy, almost like
cracked speaker.
My question....is this module replaceable with the SBX1637-11, or am I
looking for more sound problems.
This is an older VCR, 10 years, approx.
