We designed it when the color video cameras were tube type and frequent
adjustments were needed using a NTSC Vectorscope. The only one available
then was made by Tectronix and cost $4700. Our little $325 box turned an
ordinary oscilloscope into an NTSC Vectorscope. Just about that time,
Hitachi came out with a $1500 NTSC Vectorscope. I bought one of the Hitachi
units as a calibration verification for our box. I dont ever recall having
to use the NTSC Vectorscope for solid state image sensors except for
diagnostic purposes when the colors were wierd.
