[TechAssist] Nickel-metal Hydride battery charging

Hi All
Can someone tell me why I can't use my radio sh___ 4 cell AA wall
battery charger for charging my new hydride batteries or is this OK.??
I used to charge my Nicads for 13-15 hrs.
Many web sites tell you about charging to some extent but they want you
to buy their products!
I understand that there are some 2200 milli ahr AA cells out there for a
very reasonable price!
