First, many thanks to Jim Myers, Bill Boyd, and Dan Webster for answering
my latest batch of questions regarding this dinosaur... I still haven't
re-soldered these connections yet but will soon...

However, I decided to give the Signal Board a thorough "eyeballing" last
night and found some things that don't look quite right to me:

1) JU2 (jumper) was soldered in originally but was cut out later making
it "open" - this jumper connects pin 2 of L101 & pin 2 of P11 (High
Resolution Filter) to a bunch of other stuff including pin 7 of IC300 -
Isn't this jumper supposed to be "closed" to complete this circuit path?

2) JU6 - same as JU2, soldered in but later cut back out making it "open"
- this jumper connects pin 1 of P8 (Volume Trim) to pin 12 of P2 (plugs
into controller module) - isn't this also supposed to be "closed" to
complete the circuit path? This could explain why I can't adjust the
volume...

3) R104 - was soldered in but was also cut out like the above jumpers -
no sign of it burning up, just cut out - this resistor connects pin 3 of
P11 (High Resolution Filter) to L100, C120, then to ground - with this
resistor gone, this circuit path is also "open" - should it be? Does
anyone know the value of this resistor?

4) C228 - nonexistant, doesn't appear to have ever been soldered in -
it's in the vertical deflection circuit - maybe nothing to worry about?

If anyone has schematics for this thing and can answer these questions,
it would be greatly appreciated...

I'm really glad you guys are being patient with me on this - Thanks! it
is greatly appreciated!

If it turns out that the only thing really wrong with this set is that
someone went crazy with a pair of wire cutters (sabotage?), then maybe I
can finally get this thing working soon... Or maybe not...
