Vs 50603 is a 1998 model, VZ-5 chassis. It's no longer on the Mits website.
Sounds more like the A/V switches are bad. One Ic for video, one for audio,
normally found on the input jack board or near it on the signal board. Don't
have the schematics, but if you have access to VZ-4 or VZ-6 manual it'll get
you close.
If you don't have those, try looking for 2 similar 14 -16 pin IC's or maybe
one 24-30 pin DIP
IC in those areas. I think they use 3 pins to switch
the inputs on both types of ICs.....no data bus on those .

> This unit will not access the AV inputs, it will switch from tuner A to B
but has sound only. Channel display works OK. Menu's work fine. When in
the channel setup menu it will show the picture in the corner. Also, what
chassis is in this set and is the chassis number usually printed on the set
or chassis somewhere?
