[TechAssist] Re: Mitsubishi VS5007R Audio Problems

Jeff, yes that goes out a lot and should probably be replaced
even if it checks good. See if you have Q7N5, Q7B5 & Q7A3,
these can all cause audio problems too.

Subject: [TechAssist] Mitsubishi VS5007R Audio Problems

 Make : Mitsubishi
 Model : VS5007R
 Chassis : V11
Problem : No audio when set is first turned on...slowly
comes up as set
warms up (1/2 hr or so).

Audio is good at the L & R Monitor out fed to an external
amp. We are
suspecting a problem with the mute circuit.
Q304 mute control is listed in my Tips as a popular failure
but we were
curious if others have seen it fail this way (i.e. working
OK after
warm-up)

We'll be pulling the board today to verify but would like to
hear if others
 have had this symptom?

These sets are difficult to take readings from when
installed in the
 cabinet...not much room to work!
