Hi Elbert,
Just got back in from a S/C and saw your post. My WinsTips 2.0 program have
the following tip for the Mits VS-5005R (( Mits VS-5005 is same as V11
Chassis also similar To models Vs-5021,Vs-50vx1,Vs-6004,Vs-6021,Vs-7004)).
"Shuts down on Power up": Check Vertical Ic401 For No Output Triggering
Xprotect. Pcb-Main Part #272p239040
...also for Intermittent HV shutdown look for; Check For 20.3vdc At Base Of
Q503. If High Check For Leaky D511, D512 Off Pin 13 Of Flyback, If They Read
Good Replace Flyback T503. Pcb-Main Part # T503 - 334p191020 and also:
Check Pin 5 Of Ic502 For 22.5vdc. If Low Check For Leaky D513. Pcb-Main
Part #264p244030.
