[TechAssist] Re: Manufacture dates of JVC SVHS vcr's

Some of the older JVC's you could look at the first diget of the serial number 
and it would determin the year of manufacture. For example, if the serial 
number began with a "1", it would represent the year to to manufactured in '91, 
"2" would be '92, etc.  I don't know if this still would apply to the newer 
ones as I don't see to many JVC's around here anymore. Thank God :-)
