Before you do any adjusting...See if that set uses a
C432..100ufd/250Volt.
Had one in the shop, but not sure of Model #...ran fine here after
resoldering some bad resistors. When customer got it home, horizontal
sync was off, Re-checked in shop, seemed to be OK. Try putting on Variac
and adjusting line voltage. And sync was very unstable.
This may not apply to your chassis, but worth a shot.

Might be this:
Symptom: Intermittent loss of sync, most evident by loss of horizontal
sync.
Cause: Y620, 3.58 crystal may be locking to either the 3rd harmonic or
3rd
overtone.
Cure: Replace Y620 - 4835 242 77215
