Shaun, I must be missing 1 post, did you get the Q661 beam limiter circuit
fixed? 17v on base,
2.4 on emitter?   I`ve looked everywhere for a tip to your problem and
haven`t found any. But
1.9v on the shutdown transistor (Q530) is way too high, my schematic shows
point 3 on C.
22.7 on B.  and 22.3 on Emitter. TP9 is the shutdown test point(plus leg of
C530, 10uf 100v), the
service manual gives nothing for tips if this voltage goes too high.Sounds
like the regulation  is still
not quite right, maybe put a light bulb in place of the HOT and get the
regulation tight? Sorry I
