Light engine part # 3141VSN180F Digital Board part # 6871VSMV99B No service bulletins on this at all.... I think it's best you contact Zenith about this symptom. I had a Samsung recently that looked like the Digital board was at fault, customer added more symptoms upon return with board. Those extra symptoms alerted the Samsung tech to what was really bad.....the DMD module. Upside down picture will do it every time....after I had requested the customer try the menu and channel up/down button when his TV goes black.......DMD loads down the data line You may want to try the menu or changing channels after it fails and see if there are any other symptoms that can help in the diagnosis. I know this is an LCD, not a DLP, but the fact remains that the digital board and the LCD engine both use the Data/Clock lines.....you could have a crappy tuner for all we know. Then goes black. Sound remains. They turn the set off and on sometimes more than once to bring picture back to normal. Is very intermittent with no pattern. May be days before it acts up again. Anyone seen this or anything close?
