That is a strange one. I would first try removing the lamp and making sure
the contacts to it and the ballast are nice and clean. If that does not
solve it, sure sounds like the next logical step to do would be to replace
the lamp. The XBR800 series did NOT have all the common lamp issues the
WE610 and XBR950 series had.

Hello Techs,
I am working on this Sony 60 inch LCD TV that powers up ok,
but after it is on for a minuite, the screen/lamp goes out for a
minuite then turns back on within two minutes.
When the screen goes black, voltage to the lamp is still there
Anyone has any tips on this one?
