See if this helps. I had a similar trouble. See below. Phil [TechAssist] JVC AV35750 blue screen only, has OSD FIX Date: Mon, 22 Dec 2003 17:47:52 -0500 From: Philip Bader <tjanphyl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Organization: Jan Phyl TV Inc. ,Philip Bader To: "techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> After I completely rebuilt the AV Select board with all new chips, I found the schemo Ed Gaidis sent me of a similar model AV36050. I was able to trace the loss of video aaround IC201. IC201 (TA1242N) takes the main tuner's IF output at pin 8 and it exits pin 47 thru a 100 ohm SMD R132, on to Q131base, out emitter and on eventually to Q132 buffer. The problem was an open R132 (100 ohm) mentioned. Hidden under a glob of silicon holding a small disc capacitor. I had signal one side of R1321, nothing the other. Open R132 replacement cured the blue screen! Thanks, group and especially Ed Gaidis for the .PDF file! Merry Christmas! I think it uses relatively close switching system. File is just under 2 meg. Will your mailbox take that? -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics.
