It may be as simple as the internal camera interface connector has popped
out of place.
It happens from time to time. Reseat the camera & try again...

playback on a VCR also. Records and plays audio fine. Low contrast OSD
indicator stays on. I also get the "Lens Cap" reminder for a few seconds.
Any advise would be very helpful. I don't get alot of camcorder work so I
may be missing something simple.
