Subject: [TechAssist] JVC Model AV27F703 S Shutdown

Hello everyone,
I have this JVC, Model No. AV27F703 S. The unit would go into immediate
shutdown upon power up. I found
nothing obvious, and suspected FBT. I replaced the FBT, and now the unit will
power up as long as the CRT
board is not hooked up. Soon as you touch it to the CRT, the set will shutdown.
(Before it did not matter,
as it would still shutdown without the CRT board attached.) I checked the tube
twice with our Sencore
CR70, and it says the CRT is fine. Should I believe it? Or am I missing
something simple. I do have the
manual. Any help would be great. TIA

 Thanx,
