Ken,
On the Daewoo, change C404 (1uf/160v) to 3.3uf/160v. High esr on C404
"can/will" cause int shutdown and failure of hot and p/s.
On RCA CTC203, scrape and resolder leads on L14401 in base of Q14401. Bad
connections will cause int shutdown and "can/will" cause Q14401 and p/s failure.

Subject: [TechAssist] Intermittent Shutdown - two different sets

We're working on two seperate sets with intermittent shutdown. One's an
RCA, the other a Daewoo. We've hit a roadblock and were wondering if anyone
  has any clues.

DAEWOO DTQ26SF1C- Intermittent Shutdown every few days, unplug set and
plug back in and it's OK. We changed the eprom and a few caps under
  speculation...same fault. Any ideas?

RCA CTC203AX7 - Intermittent shutdown after 10-30minutes, unplug and plug
back in and it's OK. We changed eprom, not change. We then rec'd the
modification regarding some resistors and a cap off pin23 of U18xxx.
However, I can't find any parts with an 18xxx series, nor are there any
indication of "blanks" showing 18xxx series parts. Any ideas?

  Thanks in advance.
