David, Most likely cause of the failure will be the small 680pf/2kv disc cap having arced and shorted. Its the little blue one off the collector of the HOT. I forget the location # but you can usually see the cracks/arcs in the edges around it. hth Glenn Larkman Audiotech 256 Nth Hwy 101 ENCINITAS CA 92024 760 944 9048 FAX 944 0345 mail to"mail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" "www.audiotech.net" ----- Original Message ----- From: <gulftech@xxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 3:47 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Hitachi Proj. 60EX01B. AP91R. Dead, no startup. David, I found a slew of subs for that transistor. It is 10A, 100 wts, no damper. 2SC: 3688, 3995, 3996, 3997, 3998, 4607, 5046, 5047, 5244, 5244A, 5301, 5303, 5423, 5428, 5441, 5441A, 5442, 5442A, 5443, 5444, 5453, 5506, 5577, 5578, 5583, 5584, 5597, 5639, 5695.
