I found on most tv's electrolitic caps get dried out where there is evidence 
of dark heated places on the board evreytime i replace them and in some 
cases with higher votalge value but same capacitance and install them a 1/4 
inch off the board so thay do not dry out as fast they have caused the 
horz.transistors to short in every brand name i have repaired, around the 
vert.i.c. as well.

HI,   I have a 46" Hitachi big screen that I am working on.  The model
number is 46W500.  The problem I am having is that it will keep blowing the
horizontal output transistor 2SC5909 after about one day of use.  Usually on
some other sets I have worked on that has been caused by a bad flyback.
But,  I have no way to ring the flyback to check it.  Any ideas?  Does
