I agree, Phil, but i dont think it is just the south. I think it is the small town altitude. I have spent my adult life in this 30k town after gowning up in a 1k town 10 mile away. i thought i moved to the big city when i moved here. lol most of the locals know each other or at least a relative or friend of each other. so we try to be neighborly even if under our breath we are disgusted. We go to church on sunday and try to set a good example for our children. We were taught that winning isnt the most important thing in life.
