Yes, a weak digital signal will give you as good of a picture as a strong
digital signal, as long as it is above a certain threshold. When it goes
below that the picture will start to break up (Pixalize) and the motion
freeze,  then another slight drop and you have no picture whatever.  whereas
with an analog signal, the weaker the signal, the more snow in the picture,
but you still have some (bad) picture.  We have about 6 digital channels in
our area but they are all weak. We are expierementing with various UHF
amplifiers to improve it.  Has anyone else used amps on digital signal?  In
another 6 months to a year our stations will be up to full power and we
should have a good signal.  BTW, a true HDTV picture is GOOD, and worth the
trouble.  It will be dificult for the consumer but I am hoping it will be
good for the service industry.  BTW, why does the IRS refer to themselves as
a Service, they are not serving me????   John.
