Here's another question for those more knowledgeable with this..
We get a few HD stations..but how do you know if they are transmitting in HD or
standard definition?
If it is 16x9, is it HD?
We have one station, UPN, that is usually in 16x9, but the picture is a lot
more grainy than the others.
I know CBS has daytime programming in 4x3, but after 8 pm, most programming is
in 16x9..when the signal is
there.

Believe it or not, PBS in Fort Wayne is the only TRUE HD station. NBC, CBS,
ABC at present is Digital, but moving towards HD. I thought Fox was Digital,
but not from what I've seen on the ATSC terrestial tuners I've been setting
up recently.

| LeRoy,
| Then you haven't seen a true HD station. Seems, CBS transmit the best HD
programming than the others. NBC
| a close second.
| NBC is usually only SD.
| Fox just came abroad and it is OK and UPN is the worse.
| ABC, who knows? I can't get anyone there to return my phone calls or
emails.

| Actually, it is NOT worth it. IMHO.
| The picture available on the NTSC system was good enough for ANYBODY.
| I think the HDTV picture looks a little PHONY,.. to me !,...but, I don't
| shop at Wal-Mart either,....so who gives a dam what I think ?
