Bill, I'd resolder all the grounds in the tuner circuit and then change the eeprom IC the eeprom is # 218404 for a CTC177CC chassis. I presume you've done this precedure before, as its a common problem with all these RCA/GE sets . Programming the new eeprom takes the most time, as the new eeprom has all parameters set to mid range. Good Luck! I've previously replace u4501 and changed-out r4511 on your recent tip. No change... > I'll try resoldering the ground next, in the tuner. I think my voltage is a bit high on pins 4 and 5 of rn4501 (20v), but I don't believe that of itself should collapse the vertical. > Thanks for the help... > Bill > Premium Technologies > Ocean Park, Washington > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Webster TV > To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Monday, January 14, 2002 7:58 AM > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: GE - 31GT657FM1, Chassis CTC177CC > > > > Bill, > Don't fully understand your problem.
