Yes these are the units with the bad yoke, but it's usually R007. If it overheats & goes out, it can be the yoke doing it. Check for voltage drop across R473. -Clint http://computerhardware-consumerelectronics.com http://orpheuscomputing.com/domain-names.html http://orpheuscomputing.com Clint Hamilton, Owner Orpheus Audio/Video & Computing Tech-Assist Administration http://tech-assist.org ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phil Bader" <philbad@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 30, 2001 2:34 Subject: [TechAssist] [Fwd: Sanyo DS25430 (25430-00) dead,HOT,R004,more...] -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Sanyo DS25430 (25430-00) dead,HOT,R004,more... To: "CONSUMERELREPAIR-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <CONSUMERELREPAIR-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Was dead. Found shorted HOT (2SD1879) Replaced, now narrow picture,Reg B+ low. Replaced the STR30130,no help. Found open 2 watt R004 (5.6 ohm) in power supply. Also many cold solder joints soldered.Replaced R004. Now screen wide enough, B+ at proper 129VDC, but seems the HOT may be running rather hot.I can't remember if this resistor was the one that indicated a bad yoke.Thanks.
