Well, I got in two new OEM's and they evidently do have a Built-In Damper Diode and Resistor. Too bad the Service Manual doesn't show it that way...it just shows it as a Nomal NPN HOT, and the Datasheet doesn't mention a Built-In Damper Diode and Resistor either ! You were correct Ken ! There are two diodes on-board in parallel with the Collector and Emitter, D551 and D552. I'm gonna order a couple and find out for sure. Delta, Ohio is about 20 miles west of Toledo, Ohio Both are located in "Northwest Ohio". Thanks, Randy J. Evans VCR SERVICE Delta, Ohio gulftech@xxxxxxxx wrote: Randy, I looked that up. The program I have shows that has a damper diode. Lists the following as subs: 2SC5143, 2SC5519, 2SD2253, or BU2725DX. Where is Delta, Ohio? I spent the first 22 years of life in Akron. Not familiar with Delta.
