Mike,

I don't have a second hard drive. Can I copy an
image of my system to a directory on the same
drive and then burn a copy onto a CD?

Can you please tell me which folders or files
need to be included? I use Fix-It Utilities 4.0
to save all the critical files each time I install
a program. This includes:

registry files config.sys autoexec.bat
system.ini win.ini protocol.ini command.com

I suppose that I would really need to have a copy
of Windows\System. The program System Safe
Gold is supposed to do this and then have the
copy available for restoring when you boot up
with a rescue disk. I have not been able to get
it to work on two computers (WIn98 & WinME).

I have not tried an older version or the retail
version of System Safe Gold. One of them
must work! Seems this may be the ultimate
solution for some of us.

Thanks,

Bil
