So I presume there is a small black square on one of the four corners, with no Video info in that square. I was under the impression the way you were explaining it you had a black square on the screen with no Video info. Sorry. Reasonably sure that set has no PIP. I checked and closed caption was turned off. I had to do a regular tuner solder job on it,and the customer asked me to look at the PIP circuit because it quit working he said. When I click on PIP I get a black little screen but no video. Please let me know if this set is capable of displaying pip Thanks again John H Smit Smit's TV Service Box10 Gunnison Utah 84634 800-355-4948 Phone&Fax 435-528-7955 Phone&Fax jhsm@xxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: Tel-Tek Electronics <teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, June 30, 2004 11:20 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Fw: RCA F27671SE-CTC177 BF (No PIP) > This is not PIP...set is in the TEXT MODE. > Go to Closed Caption settings and turn off closed caption and Text. > > -Ed- > > Tel-Tek Electronics > teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Ontario-Canada > > -----Original Message----- > From: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John H Smit > Sent: Wednesday, June 30, 2004 11:33 AM > To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [TechAssist] Fw: RCA F27671SE-CTC177 BF (No PIP) > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: John H Smit <jhsm@xxxxxxxxxx> > To: <servicetalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, June 29, 2004 10:28 AM > Subject: RCA F27671SE-CTC177 BF (No PIP) > > > > Hello to all > > This RCA shows a black square instead of video within the reg > picture, when > > PIP is activated. > > I have see a lot of solutions to disable PIP, when a problem shows, but > no > > cure for no PIP. > > > > I do not see the regular PIP module in this chassis. > > I would appreciate any clue on this one. > > Thank you in advance > > John H Smit > > Smit's TV Service > > Box10 > > Gunnison Utah 84634 > > 800-355-4948 Phone&Fax > > 435-528-7955 Phone&Fax > > jhsm@xxxxxxxxxx > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > ----- > Lost Password: > http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?". > Email Archives: > //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- --- > Lost Password: > http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?". > Email Archives: > //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----- Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?".
