Was the EEPROM... I didn't suspect the EEPROM, since the customer stated the set was intermittent dead.. For me, I could not get the set to start at all. I did the tuner wrap, still dead, so I figured the problem to be elsewhere... Most of the suggestions were the EEPROM, so I picked one up on my way to the shop this am and viola, it works..H-freq was way off..adjusted and all was well. Thanks to all that replied. I have not gotten power to it at all. I have 170vdc on HOT..too high. On Q4301, I also have 170vdc. I changed Q4301 with one from a scrapped chassis, until I place an order and same problem. I checked both Q4301's I have and they both are not shorted or leaky.. Any other suggestions? I did the tuner wrap already.. Another thing I found odd, I have 5vdc on all pins of front panel switches..I unsoldered the pin from the micro and the 5v is on the pin. Had to quit, for now...so this is as far as I got. I hope for some good ideas by tomorrow.. Also, found C4155 and C4150 with high ESR..changed. I scoped the clock and data lines and they are there.
