Hi Ed;Just finished a similiar chassis,an EH8059,20" Electrohome unit.Mine
was also DOA.I was lucky as it had a bad Q501=P5NC50FP in the SMPS.I
replaced with an NTE 2398 which brought it back to life.Good thing because
the major IC's used in these units are all SMD's.Never though I see
Electrohome putting there name on such low-end units.I understand all the
Superstores are selling them.This one was just over the warranty[1 year] by
a couple of weeks.Expect to see more of these.........................
