I believe you can unplug the deflection cba and see if the vcr will load and eject. If it does, your problem is on the deflection cba. If it is, check R565 (1.5 ohm), R566 (1.5 ohm), R567 (1.2 ohm), R568 (1.2 ohm). If one of those is open, IC551 (LA78041) is probably defective. In the main power supply, we have had IC2601 (817 opto), Q2604 (C2785), D2640 (33 volt zener), D2660 (1n4148), D2621 (1N4148), Q2605 (C2785) defective. Most of these parts are related and get zapped at the same time.
