Yes, and also there is a 3 Position Switch a lot of Times on Turntables, I forget how its Designated, but basicly it Determines weather the Arm will retract if a 78, 45 or 33 type Record is playing. May be that its Set to 78 or 45 and you are playing a 33? I don't have anythng on the 1214 but have a SAMS on a 1010. Remove the turntable and watch as you manually move the arm toward the center. See if it trips a lever. It may be on top or bottom. If you take the arm and take it in about a 1/4 inch it activates. Never had a problem with Dual turntables. The young people are digging out their parents turntables to play vinyl.
