Kevin,
These viruses use their own SMTP engine for sending themselves out.
I believe it sends the information to an archive somewhere so that it can
continue
to cause havoc.
Let's remember, this latest one also has a keystroke logging technique to send
information from the infected persons computer to another location in an attempt
to figure out credit card numbers.
Very ingenious.
Too bad these people do not use their knowledge to bring down child pornography
and terrorists sites.

Hi fellow techs,
Just wondering if people on techassist are leaving their computers on all night,
and if they are, would this contribute to what is happening right now on
techassist? It seems like the hackers are "looking" into our computers and
getting old emails etc and adding viruses to them. I know that if you are on
high
speed internet people try to hack in more than if you are just on dial-up.
