Are talking about the BIOS password because if you are it's not an easy
thing to do, password is actually kept in an EPROM; simply removing the
motherboard BIOS battery won't reset the password like older systems.
There is information available out there on how to do this. For example:
http://www.pwcrack.com/security_chips_dell.shtml

If you're talking about the logon password during boot-up you'll need a
logon password cracker. Not sure where to find one for free though.

Good luck,

Subject: [TechAssist] DELL LAPTOP D600 Bypasss/Eliminate Password

Hello All,
My uncle dropped his 6 month old laptop and broke the screen. I was able
to locate and change the screen for him this past week. Screen looks
great.

Meanwhile the old coot forgot his password......

Is there anyway to bypass, eliminate, or blow magic dust to start over
again the password process. I'm tired of him leaning over my shoulder
telling me to type in "this" or "maybe that". Might as well open up the
Lithuanian dictionary and start from "A".

Please, all help is appreciated.
