[TechAssist] Re: Computers - Dallas chip


I am not no computer man by any means.Would like to
know where this chip is located on most boards or how
to spot it.Reason bieng I recently built up a computer
from some scrap parts and looked allover for the
battery recptical ,didn't find but found this dallas
chip.Big enough to be a battery so figured as such.But
after your post i looked on some of these other MB and
don't see anything close to what that one looked
