Has all the upgrades and latest service packs. By the way, it was an update
that caused all the problems in the first place. The computer hung up in the
middle of an ME update. After that, ME was very unstable, working fine one
day and endlessly malfunctioning the next. Gateway did not provide a full
install disc with the computer and the Gateway recovery disc did not fix
anything. So I decided to buy the XP Home and a new drive and put the old
drive in as a slave.
