Jon.... I checked my saved EEPROM files at work and I have several 177 files, so I'm assuming that it reads and writes OK. I didn't, by the way, take the time to make it pretty... it too was built from scrap parts. At the time I was recovering from a gastrectomy and with the way my brain was working(NOT) I was lucky to get it working at all. I have a green LED to let me know that I have power, and a red to indicate switched 5v to the EEPROM.
