It is not advisable to completely discharge a ni-cad stack as one cell will run down before the others and the current then reverse-charges that cell, causing further damage to that cell. Thats why the available dischargers only discharge until the stack reaches a certain voltage. > I have been discharging my batteries with a resistor.
