The only real difrence I've seen since the 47uf slows the switching time the 
supplies are usually quieter if you can hear the higher frequencys, most 
kits include the 47uf not a 39uf

Jim ,

I've used WHATEVER is on hand.....Capacitive reactance on 47 or 39 is 0.09
and 0.07 ohms, it's not going to change the switching/amplifying on the
output, although I've always leaned towards the 47uf/100v....that's only
because I want that transistor to operate as a switch. 47uf always been
easier to get from suppliers.
