Thanks for all that replied
The kit  from Hitachi has been discontinued and a new one is very expensive
so it will be certainly worth a try to replace the caps and see if it works.
Question, has anybody try rebuilding them before and if so is it only the
caps that usually fail? There's no sap running out of them  yet , I'm hoping
the rest is alright.
