Hello,
Doing this mail with a VERY red face...Two Sony sets in shop for
repair, both same model #..Both dead... Did power supply repairs.. sets came on
but no HV...Did voltage checks everything seemed normal...Dusted off the
scope..waveforms to the horiz driver ok.. collector of the driver was not even
close. Put sets aside....Went to another Sony, different model # had power
supply problem and shorted output...Dam output out of stock...hmmmm borrowed
one from the other Sony...Same problem sound no picture CLICK CLICK
CLICK.....removed output.. E/B measured 100 ohms and reversed measured 0ver
800 ohms...all outputs replaced all working now.......When first tested in the
original sets, no shorts, measured emitter resistor and driver transformer to
ground and 134V on collector.."Don't assume anything"....Was not going to post
this, but I thought it may help someone in the future...BTW models were
KV27TS32..Thanks to all that helped...
