Thanks Jeff, I replaced the vol up sw today after you and 8 other techs indicated that this is the likely cause. Checked just fine on the 20M range - no leakage (and no water stains or corrosion). The TV never did act up again after I looked at and banged on the pc boards yesterday. Makes you wonder if there isn't an electronic problem.
