Thanks Kevin, I quit troubleshooting the set. Had to move on. It was a shop 
set anyhow. I stripped the chassis for parts already and have moved on to 
another set and have just fixed it. I'll post the fix for it. Thanks to all. 
We can end this " 32" RCA CTC187 - Dead Set?" Thread and help some others.
