I have a repair kit on order for this, but I need to know if to expect the
laser to be bad or not.
I would assume, if it were the laser, the screen would show 'disk error'
When the tray is inserted, the laser does not light, like it should for a
brief moment. The laser does adjust up/down a little once CD is in.
The TV screen does not change from the options menu when a disk is inserted.
Is anyone familiar enough with these to be sure it is a laser before I spend
$70 for one?
Thank you.
